Audience registrations open – International Middle Eastern Studies Colloquium to bring over 70 researchers to Tampere, Finland

The Seventh Finnish Colloquium of Middle East and North African Studies is open for the public for both in-person and online participation. The international Colloquium will take place in Tampere, Finland and online on June 10-11. You can now register as an audience member to come hear about the latest research and follow panel discussions on topical questions in the Middle Eastern Studies.

Participation in Tampere costs 30 € and the fee covers the scheduled coffee breaks. Bachelor’s and master’s level students may register free of charge. There is no fee for online participation.

FIME organizes the international Colloquium of Middle East and North African Studies every three years in collaboration with a Finnish university. The theme for this year is the decolonization of Middle Eastern Studies and the speakers will present critical perspectives and discuss current topics and debates in the discipline. The keynote speakers are Nadera Shalhoub-Kevorkian (Queen Mary University of London) and Nikolas Kosmatopoulos (American University of Beirut).
