The institute’s staff includes director Susanne Dahlgren, researcher Nina Maaranen and administrative assistant Manal Chatila. The director’s term lasts three years and the researcher’s two years. In addition, the staff includes Finnish National Agency for Education’s intern – there are two interns annually who’s internships last five months consecutively – and a resident scholar. In Cairo, FIME is represented by researcher Sylvia Akar.
