Researcher Mariam Al-Hasbani from University of Balamand has been selected as the new FIME resident scholar for autumn 2023.
Al-Hasbani has obtained her PhD in Sociology and has worked in several universities in Lebanon in different research projects, as well as a resident scholar in France. Her research interests include, but are not limited to sociology of education, academic mobility, gender and migration studies.
Al-Hasbani is currently working with a group of researchers to publish a book on higher education in Lebanon and the future of youth in the context of multidimensional crises.
